How to Appeal a Rating

CTA League – Ratings Appeal Request
Who May Submit
-
Primary: Club Director of Tennis (preferred)

If no Director/USPTA Pro: the Team Captain may submit
-
Not accepted: appeals directly from individual players

USTA Rating Appeals

Appeals of a USTA NTRP computer rating are valid for one season.
-
If a player’s USTA computer rating is higher than the requested CTA/Bonita level, the player must appeal the USTA rating each season.
Mid-Season USTA Changes

If USTA changes a player’s rating during a CTA/Bonita season, the player may finish the season at their current CTA/Bonita level.

The change takes effect the following season.
CTA League Rating Appeals (Topdog)

Players without a USTA computer rating may appeal their CTA/Bonita League rating (as listed in Topdog Tennis).
How Appeals Are Reviewed
The CTA/Bonita will consider, among other factors:​

Typical court/line position

Health (Serious)
How to Submit an Appeal (Email)
Send an email to rickcaltontennis@gmail.com with the subject: “CTA Rating Appeal – [Player Name]”, and include:
